Compatibility and purchasing answers

TPMS Frequently Asked Questions

Practical answers for distributors, importers, tire shops and automotive service networks evaluating replacement TPMS sensors and programming workflows.

How do I choose between 315MHz and 433MHz?

Frequency depends on the vehicle application and destination market. Send the vehicle brand, model, year and OEM sensor number; do not select frequency from appearance alone.

What information is required for compatibility review?

Provide the vehicle brand, model, model year, OEM number or old-sensor photo, frequency, valve preference, destination market and quantity.

What is the difference between programming, cloning and relearn?

Programming writes application data to a programmable sensor. Cloning reproduces an existing sensor ID when the workflow supports it. Relearn registers sensor IDs with the vehicle. The required steps depend on the vehicle and tool.

Metal valve or rubber valve: which should I choose?

Confirm the original wheel and valve configuration, vehicle application, operating environment and customer preference. The valve option is part of compatibility, not only appearance.

How long does a TPMS sensor battery last?

Service life varies with battery design, transmission frequency, temperature, storage and driving conditions. Ask for the specification of the selected model rather than relying on one universal lifetime claim.

Can XSD support OEM number matching?

Yes. Send the OEM reference, vehicle information and, when available, clear photos of the old sensor and valve.

Can I request samples before a production order?

Yes. State whether the request is for compatibility validation, market testing or packaging approval so the sample plan can be reviewed correctly.

Do you support private label and custom packaging?

Private label, labels, cartons and product-list requirements can be reviewed for B2B programs. Include the target market, SKU plan, forecast quantity and artwork status.

Send the right requirement first

Include the vehicle, OEM number, frequency, quantity, market, valve preference, packaging and delivery target.
